For generations, agriculture has been the lifeline of Benton County. Our precious land has provided work for our families, food for our tables, and wealth for our communities.
Benton Community Foundation exists to transfer the wealth of our generous donors to the community organizations and college-bound students who are able to flourish with this financial assistance.
Our efforts have provided over $1,000,000 in funding to community organizations throughout the county. Grants have helped restore the Fowler Theater, build the Oxford Fire Station, furnish the Otterbein Town Hall, make improvements to the Boswell baseball diamonds, and enhance the offerings of schools and libraries.
Benton County youth have received the benefit of an additional $1,000,000 in scholarships to higher learning institutions around the state and the country. Scholarships that provide knowledge to our students, that they might then bring that knowledge back to the community and facilitate growth in the future.
A donation of only one penny per bushel on your crop, while small to you, can be HUGE for this community. If this modest amount was donated for every acre of corn and soybeans farmed in the county, the Benton farming community could raise over $300,000 for our charitable organizations and our youth.
Please consider sharing the bounties of your harvest so that together, we may achieve great things for Benton County. A gift through the Bushels for Benton Campaign is not just a gift to the Foundation; it is a gift to the well-being of Benton County. |
