Benton Community Foundation holds one grantmaking cycle each year. Public announcement is made in the local press and on the website under news and events. The Foundation identifies the focus of the grants to be awarded. The deadline for grant applications is August 1st and awards are announced by mid-September. Applications are available on this website.

How to Apply
The focus of the annual grant cycle is announced by the BCF Board of Directors.
Grant applications will be accepted annually through August 1 and awards announced by mid-September. The application is available online; see bottom of page for download link. All requests made to the Foundation office regarding grants will be referred to the annual fall award cycle. Public announcement of the availability of grants will be made each June in the local press and on-line. Contact the Foundation office with any questions about the application process.
Priority is given to programs that:
- Reach as many people as possible
- Improve the ability of the organization to serve the community over the long term
- Serve Benton County residents
- Are run by nonprofit organization
Benton Community Foundation generally does not fund:
- Political organizations or candidates
- Endowments
- Ongoing operating expenses
- Individuals (except scholarships from scholarship funds)
- Programs already completed
- Multi-year programs
- Debt reduction or elimination
