Irwin Scholarships Awarded for Two-year College Studies

The Phebe Irwin Scholarships are awarded to students who, like Phebe, plan to pursue post-secondary education in the skilled crafts or trades. The 2005 recipients will receive $6000 over two years to study for associate's degrees. Matt Wozniak (Boswell) will attend IVY Tech to study computer assisted design. Kayla Sondgeroth (Ambia) will study landscape design at Lakeland College, ILL.

Previous winners have studied diesel mechanics, paralegal studies, construction management, and other courses leading to certificates and two-year degrees.
