Benton Community Foundation administers several scholarship programs including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship Program which is funded by Lilly Endowment Inc. The application procedures and selection criteria vary for each of the scholarships, though many of the funds use one consolidated application. Scholarship funds are particularly appealing to donors who wish to memorialize or honor a special person in their life. Individuals or groups can create an endowment that will provide scholarships in perpetuity from the earnings of the fund or, on the other hand, create a pass-through fund that will provide scholarship assistance for a specific period of time. The founding contributors determine the criteria for the selection process and can participate in the selection of the recipients.
The Community Foundation is pleased to honor those whom have named scholarships established within the Foundation. We celebrate their lives each and every year when we provide higher-education funding to Benton County students. |
